The Proposal

Mr. Darcy proposed to me. What inclination does he think i would have into saying yes to him? He broke up my sisters marriage to the one man she truly loved, and ruined Mr. Wickham's poverty by making him into a foot soilder. I do not understand why such a man as him with the ronound character and pride he has to consider me as his wife. He says it is not the most appropriate move on his part with his family and the difference between wealths. Well, Mr. Darcy. Have it at that, a mistake.

  1. I must say, I broke up my bro, Bingley, and your sister upon the observance that Mr. Bingley was much more involved in the relationship than Jane was. It was obvious that if the relationship was allowed to continue, Mr. Bingley would most definitely get hurt. As to why I would think that you would say yes, all I have ment to do was show my love. I have tried very hard to show you my good qualities.

  2. I do not see any good qualities in such a man as you. You have effectively showed me how intolerable I am to you and what hardships it is to even be around me. I know you try to please me but I can not pretend to have feelings for a man that ruined so many people's lives. I do not want to hurt anyone, but with you I must.

  3. Darcey, I truely believe that you had no bussiness in separating Bingley and I. You had no idea how involved I was in that relationship. Although I do repect you for showing involvement in Bingley's well being, I am deeply sadened that you believe I would hurt him. I can gurentee you that if it was not for your interference, Bingley and I would still be together.

  4. How are you so cruel? An amazing Gentlemen asked for your hand in marriage and you react in a way like this? Your attitude towards his love shows you are no good for him. Hopefully I can mend his broken heart from the wreckless damage you have caused him.

  5. Children, children, calm yourselves. What all of you need to take away from this event is that Mr. Darcy was attempting to do the right thing. He believed that jane was not the proper match for his friend. He was following the bro code. While I am upset that Jane is not married, I also understand Lizzie's refusal. Come now Mr. Darcy, whomever told you that insulting a woman before proposing was a good ides is obviously not married.
