Darcy's behaviour
Darcy has not taken his eyes off of me. He continues to linger around in my presence and denys any rude remarks made by Lady Catherine. I am beginning to question why he has a sudden change of heart. Charlotte says its because he's in love with me but i know he has too much pride to even consider. I could not and would not make any gestures of gratitude towards him; first impressions are forever.

My dearest Elizabeth, first impressions are forever, but people do change. If Darcey shows any form of affection towards you, accept it and be grateful because you must know that it is difficult for that man to express himself. I would also suggest that you do get involved with him. Darcey is a very handsome and wealthy man, and really, what more could a girl want?
ReplyDeleteThank you Jane! It is true that I have a lot of pride, but that comes with wealth, it is not my fault. I truly do love you, and if you gave me a chance I could show you. I do deny Lady Catherine's rude remarks because she does not know how special you really are. Perhaps if you open yours eyes to see all the things I have done to try and show my love, you would reconsider your first impressions.
